    • The Gender Lens Project

    • A project of the Equality State Policy Center

    • Grant: $5000
    • Program support

    • Impact:

“Thanks to The Equipoise Fund, Equality State Policy Center’s Gender Lens Project was able to start changing the conversation around gender in Wyoming. We put the spotlight on women’s leadership, women in elected office, and the impact women have when we vote. We hosted virtual events showcasing Wyoming women in elected office as well as women who are leading change at the national level. We partnered on important policy briefs highlighting women in elected roles and Wyoming women as economic drivers, and helped foster policy discussions that better reflected women in the Equality State. Though we still have a lot of work to do, change is happening!”

    • Wyoming Women's Foundation

    • Grant: $5000
    • Advocacy programming

    • Impact:

“Wyoming Women’s Foundation (WYWF) is grateful for the partnership and support of The Equipoise Fund, which has allowed us to expand our advocacy reach in 2021. WYWF was a member of the Healthy Wyoming Coalition, which worked to inform Wyoming citizens about the opportunities to help people with low incomes—many of them women—gain access to healthcare. This work succeeded in bringing much more awareness and understanding of the issue to citizens and decisionmakers. WYWF also continued to engage and build its Power Advocates program to help the grassroots efforts of advocating for policies that advance women’s economic self-sufficiency in Wyoming.”

    • GAP!

    • Grant: $5000
    • Summer adventure activities

    • Impact:

“Girls Actively Participating (GAP!) recognized a ‘gap’ between middle school girls who have aged out of elementary camps and girls too young for summer jobs. The generosity of The Equipoise Fund supports our new summer adventure activities and empowerment workshops for GAP! girls in our community, helping them become the strong, capable and confident female leaders of tomorrow.”
